Tetra Research Computational Facilities

40 Core Linux Cluster

Tetra Cluster Tetra Research recently acquired a 10 node (2 CPUs per node) dual core AMD Opteron (2.2 GHz) cluster with 80 GB of main memory running Linux Fedora Core 7 which allows us to run up to 15 million cell unstructured CFD problems and still leaves room to grow. The cluster is physically located about 2 miles from our office and is connected via a closed fiber optic network designed and supplied by Connecting Point. Tetra is partnered with the City of Princeton to help demonstrate the potential community and local business impact of implementing and utilizing a city-wide fiber optic network infrastructure for high speed remote telecommunication. Our experiment, which creates a local bridge between the industrial age and the information age, truly exemplifies our city's motto, Where Tradition Meets Progress.
